DE Middle School Mission Statement
The purpose of the Dover-Eyota Middle School Parent/Guardian Teacher Organization (PTO) is to enhance and support the educational experience for students and parents/guardians at Dover-Eyota Schools and to develop a closer connection between school, staff and home.
Why Join PTO?
It's a great way to participate at the school, but not necessarily during school hours. Lots of events that PTO will support, are things that require volunteering a meal, or time to help run an event that may work in your schedule (ex. activity nights). The purpose is to show our future generation that involvement is what makes their lives richer. Team work is essential.
Often parents are very active in their children’s elementary years and then seem to back away in middle school and high school. We urge you not to let go at this important time. Beyond the student experience, there is a parent experience in middle school. You can enhance yours by being a part of PTO. Come to a PTO meeting and be informed about life at DE Middle School.
Staff and Parent/Guardian Representatives
Parents/Guardians are needed to represent each area. Please consider becoming a parent/guardian rep. All are welcome. Contact Susan Keller-Schaefer for more information at
Beginning PTO Goals
Your time and talents are very valuable to the success for our school and students. Assisting with one event, one hour or one committee is key to a successful future for our communities’.
