Get To Know Mrs. Bestor

I currently live in Dodge Center, Minnesota with my husband Chad and 13 year old daughter, Elyse. I graduated from Stewartville High School in 1998. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2006 and a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education School Counseling in 2016 both degrees from Winona State University.

The Behavior Interventionist position has grown since it first began. Currently, my duties include positive behavior supports that all students at D-E can earn such as, Eagle Awards, Eaglegrams, and the Word of the Week. I also work with students who need a bit of support in order to have a successful and positive school experience. My position is partially funded through a program called ADSIS, which stands for Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services. Both the reading and math interventionist positions are under this funding as well.

I am very excited to work with students at Dover-Eyota Elementary!
