I grew up in Rochester. I attended Longfellow Elementary School, Rochester Central Lutheran School, and graduated from Mayo High School. I went on to get my teaching license from Winona State University and later earned my Master's Degree from St. Mary's University.
Teaching Elementary School
I have been teaching now for 18 years and loving it. My mom tells me I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I don’t remember ever giving another career any serious thought. How fortunate I am! I love my job for so many reasons, the most important one being I get to make a difference in kids’ lives everyday! As I said, I have been doing this for awhile. What continually amazes me is that each day is refreshingly different. We learn and laugh together everyday!!
I currently live in Rochester with my husband Jim and my sons, Gabe and Andy. Of course I can’t get enough of my little guys. Gabe loves super heroes and Ninjago. Andy loves palying ball and doing whatever Gabe is doing. Jim is an engineer at the Mayo Clinic. He also plays the electric guitar for the band Pastel Black.
When I am not at work I love to hang out with "my boys". Gabe loves to pretend. He is often found off someplace fighting "villians". Andy loves to dress up. He also likes to play sports. Jim and I like to play tennis and golf and watch the Vikings. When I am not with the boys, I like to shop or meet my mom for coffee. I am a fan of Wonder Woman, especifically the strength she stands for. We attend Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
